FRUIT COLOUR ADVISE
Depending on the
soil nutrients, weather conditions and especially amounts of direct sunlight ,
the same bush can produce berries (LARGEST among wild forest strawberry range !)
ranging in colour from
BLUISH SNOW-WHITE through PEACH-BLUSHED to PASTEL WATERMELON ,
often BLENDING into EACH OTHER ALL on ONE BERRY ! -
ALWAYS EXQUISITELY DECORATED with
DEEP BURGUNDY seeds at RIPENESS .
Reports have been made that
glasshouse-raised plants tend to produce whiter berries,
whereas the peach-blushed ones are considered to have
the STRONGEST AROMA and more distinct TROPICAL fruit taste.
But that is not the end of SURPRISES ! -
the species sometimes can develop RICH SCARLET colour on it's leaf stems, making the plant EVEN MORE SHOWY !
